I have been trying to find the Brazilian liqueur Cachaca in Dublin without success. Does anyone know of a an off-licence or spirit shop that carries it?

    Thanks

Cachaca is really a type of spirit, similar to rum. Some call it a liquer- perhaps you are looking for a particular brand? one that was sweetened?

This would be like having absolut citron somewhere and asking if "vodka" can be got in dublin.

If you had neat unsweetened cachaca then you might want to try some aged rums like havana club, mount gay or bacardi. Some shops might have it but it could well be overpriced, and a good rum might be better priced due to open competition.

Cachaca is similar to Rum but not the same. Its made from fermented sugarcane. McHughs Off Licence (Kilbarrack Road, Raheny and Malahide Road, Artane) stock two different varieties Cachaca 21 (Industrial Cachaca) and Germana (Artisanal Cachaca).
Also i'd be 99% sure The Celtc Whiskey store on Dawson Street stock it too

Thanks Happy I did find it in Celtic Whiskey.

Also, people knew what I was asking for, but it just wasn't available from regular off licences.
