[Wanted] House for New Years

I assume this is the right thread....sorry if it is not!

Anyway I was hoping for some advice. Myself and a group of friends - around 10 people were hoping to get a house/cottage for the a couple of days up to New years and that night. Can anyone reccommend a site that I can search properties, or if they have any past experience, maybe send on the reccommendation....

Ok, I can't actually help you on this, but thought I'd at least reply.

I am a landlady, but my property is for long term leases, not a holiday home type thing which is what you'd be after.

I have to say though, even if I was, there's not a chance that I'd let my place out to someone who says around 10 people want to rent the place for a few days for New Years.

Whether or not you would, that screams "gonna thrash your place". It's up there with hens & stags.

I may be completely wrong, but I think you'll find it very hard to get someone willing to give such a large group their house for a few days.

You can't charge an outrageously massive amount for a few days, & A LOT of damage can be caused it just those few days.

Just my thoughts.

We have looked at the site http://www.donegalcottageholidays.com/ - and it has proved to be very useful. It is looking at having to pay around 800 euro for a week. I will let you know how we get on.
