I was in Roscommon Xtravision (down there for a wedding) and came across Young Sherlock Holmes for €5. So I purchased it and have since watched.
I had seen it before but it was nice to see it again, and I was struck by the whole Harry potter meets Indiana Jones vibe. Considering Spielberg wa sone of the producers I suppose the Indiana Jones element is no surprise, the whole cult part with the chanting and the sacrifice is very Temple of Doom, but then Chris Columbus wrote it and he directed the first 2 Harry potter movies..how and ever its a good movie very enjoyable.

I always loved that film. Especially the cakes coming to life and attacking Watson :D

Yeah it had a lead actress who is very Hermione like, it had a character called Dudley who is very like Draco Malfoy. A baddie teacher like one of the wizards Professor Lupin, old doddery teachers, the old school setting, the flying gizmo, the dark intrigue, the cult..very Harry Potter-esque, just without the magic and added hallucination factor.
