I tried to run over pheasants quite a few times, but they were too quick.

I had a pig on my kitchen table. She didn't like me calling her that though...........particularly during the sex.

Stuffing peasants in the house is fine, but they generally don't like to be called that ...

We used to have a stuffed phesant and a stuffed fox at home... They're stowed away in the attic now, haven't seen them the last few times I was home.

They were very funny when we had friends staying over, just put the stuffed fox standing on the end of their bed before they wake up and then wait for the scream :D

it would have been funnier if you'd sourced a feral fox for the task

Some kid I used pal about with back in the annals of time, his dad was mad into fishing, had this sort of games room and on one wall was a glass case with the biggest pike I'd ever seen; you know how things are bigger when you're a kid, but this was still big. Was always fascinated by how they managed to preserve the scales and the fins and all.

Another one I remember was this pub down the street, also when I was young, had a barn owl in a case behind the counter...always made me feel sad for some reason, like it was frozen in time or something.
**** you OP, now I'm depressed...maybe stuffing yore ma will cheer me up...
    :D

I wanted to stuff our dog when he died in his 'chasing car' position, but Ma was having none of it.

I managed to get a hold of Johnny Cash's corpse when he died, and with a bit of help from an online tutorial, he's now standing proudly in my dining room. His eyes follow you around the room though, which is a bit creepy.

This thread brings back memories of two lovely pet monkeys I had.

Well they were both killed in a car crash :( and loving them like I did I didn't want to get rid of them.

So I brought them to a taxidermist to have 'em stuffed.

"Mmmmmmmmm Mairt, they're badly damaged but I'll try my best" .. Said the nice taxidermist "And when I'm finished would you like them mounted Mairt?" ... ...

"No, holding hands would be nice" ... :D

Deer, deer, that was un-bear-ably bad.
    You moose-t try harder Mairt.

    Ha ha brilliant!

We have a stuffed pheasant at home...it's been there since I was born so it doesn't freak me out but I'd hate to have any other kind of stuffed animal in the house, it's creepy. I don't get the whole thing with people getting their dead pets stuffed....as much as I miss my pets when they die I'd never do that...they usually look awful anyway.

yup we had a pheasant aswell

used to chase my cousins around the house with it as they hated it

What is it with Dads and shooting pheasants? Mine's completely mellowed out these days though. Last time we saw a pheasant he was like wow look at that, isn't it beautiful. If that was 20 years ago he wouldn't have been able to get the gun out fast enough. The freak still shoots rabbits though, I'm not impressed.

Nice pics JIZZLORD, that one with the kestrel and the rabbit is great...the platypus has seen better days though...could be doing with some Just For Men or something. That zebra foal is just wrong...

Like Ruu's da, mine too used to hunt a lot, so we've a couple of cock pheasants, mallards, snipe, grouse and a partridge in a pear tree!

the stuffed stuff in the zoology department must be as old as the hills, i'd say some of the stuff is up on 75+ years stuffed. i would have taken more but i didint want people staring at me while i photographed dead stuff
