Hard disk drives 2.5" - SATA/PATA

Hi, I have seen 2.5" drives advertised as SATA around the place. I thought that laptops only used IDE type interfaces though. I'm wondering what to get for a Latitude D600.

newer laptops use sata

d600 uses
ide/pata
