Saturday week , My Car/van that runs on vegetable oil (SVO) Went for a DOE Test ,

And it failed three things, But the one that is most concerning , is the Emissions test, My question is, is there anybody else out there that failed a doe test?
The male tester , in question stated that it was way too smokey, ie the emissions meter did not work ,Any sujjestions to my problem > Could it be air in the fuel line>?

What mileage has the van done? Is the smoke from the SVO or from the lubrication system?
It is almost impossible to tell anything from the info you have provided.
It could be your injectors, pump, etc etc.

In short she has a smokey hole:p
Bring it to a garage and ask them to have a look and see if there is anything that is obvious, burning oil, gasket being eaten, wrong A/F ratio ....etc... (as above),
Old trick that makes diesel vans run cleaner, a small bit of petrol goes a long way;)

Could be whoever did the conversoin didn't set the fuel/air mixture right? Not using enough air?

    Just a couple of questions

What do you mean by "the Emmissions meter did not work"?

Also is this the first DOE test since you converted to SVO?
