Hey. I have been thinking recently about getting a sniper rifle (airsoft of course) and I was wondering if anyone has some advice on what gun to get. I'm looking for something decent but not a top of the range one that will cost a bomb.

Well I think if i saw someone selling a g-spec I would get it. Especially one with a huge silencer and long tightbore barrel. WOW look at that someone seemes to be selling one now, what a coincidence http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055158944

Not to sound like I'm pimping Liamo's gun, but with a 328fps limit your choices are limited. So a gun like the g-spec with a tightbore barrell and vastly improved hop-up is one of the best.

been considering getting a sniper rifle for a while myself, but im really put off by the distinct disadvantage of being limited to 1J, as it is, i could (and have on occasion) used my p90 for sniper-type shots

however if i was getting one (which i was about to until the a&k m249 was released) i'd probably go for the maruzen l96 and upgrade it with tightbore barrel and 1J spring

Pretty much exactly the same as what I was thinking of doing. I'm toying with the idea of a Christmas purchase.

i have a g-spec and although i think a more powerful rifle would be a bit better i find the g-spec excellent in my first skirmish i got a head shot on my second shot the g-spec just a scope on it and if your patient you can hit nearly anything i got a hit on my cousin who was useing a 328fps m4 while we both shot at each other from range. And ive hear that doing up the fps of a vrs 10 only gives you less air time and not much more range. If i was you id go for a g-spec
