    Hi guys

I am thinking of getting a Range Rover Sport 2.7 TDV6 Commercial for work use. Has anyone any experience of them - good or bad ?

I know of 2 people who have them for work also and both of theirs gave problems with the suspension from day one!

    Many thanks in advance

    Mark

I know a panel beater that specialises in chassis repair and he gets a lot of work from main dealers on the likes of X5s and he says a lot of the time, the problems is down to people assuming they're invinsible...

IMO: The fuel bill will cripple you - and if you put any weight in it it will fall apart.
Suggest you get a Disco 3 or a real Range Rover if comfort is your aim - and a Defender 110 if you actually want to get work out of it.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Family member bought a new one in Jan '06 and traded it in for another new one in Jan '07. Both had a minor electrical problem (with the steering lock or the ignition iirc) but the cars had to be towed to the dealer on both occasions, which of course was very inconvenient

Thanks Guys for the feedback. Appreciate it.

Yeah I was looking at the Discovery - lovely job too. I have driven a Defender 90 in the past and found it a real workhorse but it didn't come across like a place I wanted to spend any extended period of time in!

There is a garage local to me in Wexford that supply the Sport in commercial form and I have noticed someone nearby that had one but traded it for an X5 a few months later. Having driven the Sport though - I just loved it.
