Battery not recognised...

    Bought a second hand Dell battery off ebay.Now when i go to charge it a startup error
    "Battery can not be identified and will not charge"

    Anybody ever successfully get around this?

    I did a bit of googling but to no avail..

    It happened to me once but I just rebooted and it was fine.
