First off, Mods, any chance of getting this stickied please?

Ok, I know this was done a while ago, but there seems to be more people around the TF forum lately, so I thought It might be an idea to kick it off again. Basically, just show off your creative side! Pics, fan fiction, kitbashes, poetry(?), whatever TF related stuff you want to show the world.

A couple of things I would say though;
1. Tell us whether or not you would like or mind comments or criticisms. I always like a bit off feedback, but thats just me.

2. If you want to criticise, BE CONSTRUCTIVE. Don't say "thats crap", say "that might be better if you...". I know how much work can go into some of these things, so be nice.

Anyway, just to get the ball rolling, heres a little something I did earlier. Comments & crits welcome, btw!

Nice , i have never drawn a transformer before. How did you do the color ?

I did that one using a free program called the GIMP, but I've since gotten photoshop. Now if I could just get my mouse to work....

Ah OK , i can only use pencil / Marker, i havnt drawn in a long time but i am giving rodimus prime a go. As i said i have never drawn a transformer but i am using images from comics to draw mine.

Thats how I got started. I go back every now and again & do the same for inspiration. Good Luck!!

Just getting back to your picture again Ger , di you daw it all on the computer ? I really like the coloring on it .

No, just coloured it on the computer. I wouldn't have the patience to draw it that way:D

Well mine definately wont be that good, i am very rusty. Also i am using ball point pens to colour !! I have very limited resourses .

OK here is my first attempt at a transformer . So i went for rodimus, taken from a comic.

I need to stress that the colors i used were ball point gel pens that belong to me neice and the chest wont show up on the scanner also make it very difficult to shade so i kept that at a minimum,The chest actually looks great but as i said wont scan, it is orange with yellow flames . So i used the computer really quickly to color that bit in.

Lots of clear mistakes , and i think i will go out and buy some decent colours if anybody can suggest any.

Nice! There are some good shadow & highlight touches there, especially considering what you were using.

If you are looking to get some decent colours, I would recommend Letraset Markers. They sell them in the Art & Hobby shops, but they are quite pricey (about €3.75 each). They also recommend that you use special paper with them for the best results. Personally I don't bother with that, Its pretty good on normal paper anyway, but they do soak through so don't lean on anything expensive!!

Yeah i have made a note of them , thanks . I have to buy more gel pens for the kids as i used up all the red ink.

I was thinking of trying my hand at kit bashing

I like that movie Soundwave design. His head is a little big though. Overall its a nice piece.

Here are my pics. Bear in mind I havent drawn a picture in ages (some would argue I havent drawn a picture full stop, but those would be unkind people) and never did any art classes courses. Feel free to rip into them at will, I know they are crap

Wow , how long have you been drawing them for ? What you really need to do is get away from the colouring pencils and get some decent colours as the coloring pencils can take away from the sharpness. Have you drawn a whole comic yet ?

Some nice stuff there Galvasean! I love the Antique Phone Wave!!
Like Dre said, the colouring pencils can seem a bit flat, especially when you scan them in. Also some of the poses in the pics are a bit flat - like you are looking directly ahead at everything in the picture. Try angling them a bit (have a look in the comics & stuff to see what I mean), it wil help them pop out from the page more.

I was gonna do a full short comic based on the old Victory story of the Dinobots but got distracted and only finished the part about Swoop. I must dig it up and post it here.

For the record, Im most at home drawing G2 comic style. The pencils actually add to that look I find..

Thats great Galvasean , i must try this gimp programe. Am terrible at drawing on the computer though.

I don't know anybody who is good at drawing on computer. Draw with pencils/inks, scan it in and colour it on the computer. Gimp is very good (especially cause its free!!) and there are lots of tutorials for it if you search the net.
