    Hi Will, welcome to boards,

Freeze-out--you pay an entry fee, get a set amount of chips starting. When you lose them, your out.

Double-chance- you pay an entry fee,you get half your allotted chips at the start, you can get the second half of your chips anytime after the first hand up until the break at no further cost to you.

Scalp-- this is where theres an extra fee added to your entry fee(say €10).Its known as a scalp chip. For every player you knock out of the tournament, you collect his scalp chip and cash it in afterwards. If you knock out 4 players during the tourney and you still dont make the prize-money,you still get to cash in your 4 scalp chips for €40.

    Hope that helps
    Copnnie

    No problem Will,

    - A freezeout is when you pay a fixed fee up front for a certain amount of chips, and once those chips are gone you are out of the tournament.

    - A Double chance is similiar to the above in the respect that you pay a fixed fee up front where you cannot pay more for that tournament. However, the difference is that in a double chance game you get half your chips up front, and can take your second half in chips any time after the first hand, and there will be a point where you have to take them by. You can wait until you lose the first half of your chips or get the second lot whenever you want before the deadline as long as not in the middle of a hand.

    - A scalps tournament is one where part of your tournament entry fee goes towards a scalp chip, sometimes called a bounty chip. When you knock a player out of the tournament you get their scalp, and can redeem the value of it after the tournament. You also give your scalp chip to whoever knocks you out (if anyone). you only out your own at risk when you are all in, you keep all others.
