What ever happened to the late night talk show on 98fm at night...?I think the guy was called Tom.I did not listen much and when I did it was ok not great but certainly better than that crap on 104.Since late night live come onto newstalk that has been my choice at night.

MrsDub13 used to like a day time talk show on spin called Jack and Aili or something along these lines, they were also dread full but the women seemed to like it I think they did a lot of Big Brother stuff and crap like that.Anybody know what happened to these two...?

I know the one on 98fm... I think it was Chris Barry you were talking about. As for the two on Spin I've no idea. Dole maybe? :D

Late Night Talk with Tom O Brannigan was the programme that used to be on - Tom has since left radio presenting though so the programme was replaced by "The Inbox" from 8pm - 10pm.

Also, on the Spin1038 talk show, I think the Jack fella does a weekend programme on Q102 now?

Jack and Ali were quite good, was on air a few times with them. As far as I know they still have there show. I listen to either Joe and Keith Spin 103, or Colm and JimJim on 2fm. Colm and JimJim are gas, they come up with some really great gingles and stuff like the Joe Duffy song (justin Timberlake rip off I think)

Your right about the 104 night time show (Get it off your chest). They have no plan or structure to it at all. It's simply just people ringing in with the sillyest and craziest things to say, that make no sense at all. If you agree, give me a Hell YeaH!!

98fm and fm104 between them have been the talk of the country at that hour of the night for over 15 years at least. Now let me see if I can get this right
First 98fm late night talk presenters

    Fr Michael Cleary
Mark Cagney (until he upset the Taxi Drivers!!)
    Chris Barry
    Niall Boylan
    Tom Brannigan
Current presenter is Alison O Reilly and a few other muppets.. Just isn't the same..

Fm104 has had a more steady ship with fewer presenters... Chris Barry, Adrian Kennedy, Jim Jim Nugent, Jeremy Dixon, Ronan _______ ???. Probably a few more to add.

He was on Dublin's Country Mix 106.8fm at around 4pm in the afternnon until recently. For me he's someone Newstalk could put to go use. He's got the experience and popularity to have a show on a national station

The mans an idiot, most of his popularity stems from other idiots and scangers who think he knows everything.

A friend of mine did work experience while in college, she was put to work with Chris Barry for 2 months. She was suppose to be learning the in and outs of broadcasting and that.

She said he was such a w**ker. He would not let her in the studio most of the time and when he did call her it was just for her to make the tea. She said not too many people liked him when he was on 2fm.

I would not mind if she was a bitch or something, but she was the type of person who would help out a stranger with out thinking twice about it. I think Mr Barry saw that and abused it.

Jack and Ali do an early morning slot on Saturday and Sundays (6-9) I think on Q102
