    Hi all,

I recently bought a second lens for my 400d. Tis the argos bargain 28-135mm.

I went into the only open camera shop i could find in dublin yesterday to get myself a UV filter. The price for a 72mm UV filter was €29.99. is this about the right price?

I also need one for my stock lens, which is an 18-55mm. €19.99.

I didn't buy either yet becuase the price kind of put me off.

Can anyone recommend a cheaper alternative? Preferably in a real shop but an online bargain is also ok.

    Thanks!!

I've bought UV filters from Gunn's on wexford street before. I think it was about 20E for a 67mm. I now buy all my filters from ebay (usually places in Hong Kong). Check the sticky at the top of the page for a list of places.

Those prices sound right for Ireland.

Ebay tends to be a lot cheaper though.
