I bought a Boss BR600 a few months ago with a view to home recording. The problem is i cant achieve the tone on the machine that i can when i use my amp, and the precreated tones arent much help. i run my guitar through a distortion pedal and even with the same settings i use for my amp i cant get the right tone on the BR600. It sounds overloaded with treble and raspy and i have tried tweaking the tone as much as i can but to no avail. is there some other device i need to buy?? maybe a preamp?? anybody know any paticular item i need and if so what model??? all help is appreciated

you need to buy a microphone and stick in it front of your amp.
