Argh...Eircom WiFi Issues

Have a bit of a problem regarding my wireless.

At the moment I've a proxim branded Orinoco Gold PCMCIA card (a/b) and the standard eircom netopia wireless-g router (2247NWG-VGx) - I'm running XP.

I'm using WEP, as the computer refused to connect when WPA was enabled (might be the vintage of my wireless card), and it's set to channel 7+. The only other network in range is set to channel 6.

I have some serious problems connecting to the wireless router, especially after midnight till about 7am. Mostly I'm getting "Network has limited or no connectivity" when I'm able to connect, or it just hangs on "Waiting for network to be ready". It doesn't happen every day, but enough to make it seriously annoying.

The only possibilty I haven't ruled out yet is that the drivers I'm using for the card are named "Wireless PC Card Model 0111" - but when they *do* work (about 70% of the time) they work perfectly.

    Any suggestions?

54g channels overlap. There is really only 1, 6 and 11
It could be just too much interference from other devices including Video Senders (chs A, B,C D overlap 1 to 8 WiFi roughly)
Ch 12 & 13 are not allowed in USA, so some WiFi won't do them.

There are two kinds of WPA. Maybe you had the wrong one selected, or key wrong. Different vendors name the two versions differently.
