every photo of Scotland I see on here brings me that much closer to flying out, renting a car and disappearing for a week. Maybe next spring... I like the Portree photo

Love the first one Paul. I love the warm hue, the rays of the sun and excellent exposure. More please!!!

The church is a good shot technically but it is just a church and could be anywhere so doesn't appeal like the first.

Thanks for the comments. I was thrilled with the first one. It was just looking out the hotel room, and noticed the sky.

As for visiting Scotland, yeah, it's a good idea to rent a car. We took our car, and ended up coming home without it, due to a bit of a car accident with another car. Thankfully everyone walked away, but the accident is a whole other story.

The Isle of Skye is just a stunning place to visit, and we hope to go back sometime (possibly to collect the car if/when it's repaired).

looks like it's cheaper to get the ferry than to fly & rent :D

Great first shot Paul, lucky to have seen some nice weather up there.

Actually, that first shot was on probably one of the worst days for weather. We were supposed to go out on a boat to see some sea eagles, but the sea was too rough. Outside the shelter of the bay was a bit of a storm and no boats were going out that day.

But, you don't exactly go to Scotland for the weather.

One hotel we stayed in had a bar with over 100 whiskeys, ranging in price from £2 to £25 for a dram.

How much were the men in kilts?

After a night in a pub with a selection that good, it really would be "Donald where's yer troosers?" at kicking out time :D

Hey, I saw some of them up north.
Sure you could have been following me around Ulster & still got all those shots! :D

The ones in Ulster were just lost. LOL. I wish we were only in Ulster, then we could have gotten the car back home, rather than now having to wait to see what's going to happen to it.
