Where to go in December?

    Hi Folks,
Looking to get a holiday for ten days in December, going solo and seeking the sun.
What are my options if Oz, South America and the southern part of Africa are ruled out?
What would North Africa or Miami be like that time of the year?
    What would you recommend?...
…Or in light of where I don’t want to go because of time constraints should I just head off for a week in November?

I feel your pain ..I'm in the same boat..
I was thinking of maybe Cambodia, Vietnam , Argentina or Peru for 2 weeks or else Italy for a week with a week in the States shopping for gadgets seeing how poor the Dollar is at the moment.

Yeah looks like I’m going to head to the States and I’m trying to decide between LA and Chicago.
Looking at flights with Aer Lingus from Dublin and they seem pretty pricey,
€700 to LA and €450 to Chicago.
Which place would you recommend? Travelling solo.
Whats the likelihood of cheaper flights becoming available in time?
Which other airlines fly to those cities?
