    Looking forward to this.
Potentially a second shock on the cards?
I'm backing Scotland..but not by a huge amount to win this

Italy murdered Scotland on their first try then gave a soft penalty away.
Hope this isnt a penalty kick to victory game.

Italy have zero disipline, this isnt a contest.
Scotland to win by a huge margin, purely because Italy are utterly crap.

Ha does anyone ever notice when the commentators say "Oh x is so very good he's been having a blinder" the player their talking about tends to do something bad. Goes the same way about negative comments the player does something incredible.

Scotland just scored a penalty to retake the lead which they should maintain for the rest of the game
Have them backed -4 in the handicap betting.
Come on scotland mike needs to clean paddypower out

Lol, Italy camped in Scotland half so making mistakes didn't count so much.

These two sides are not WC winners by a long way..but are serving up a pretty good contest so far :)

Italy totally terrible in defence again, handing Scotalnd three points on a platter again.

Jesus reminds me of my days as a tight head prop playing for Newpark..were were brutal!!

    Scotland narrowly beat Italy

    18-16

Shame really i think Italy deserved to win more then Scotland did

The better team on the night was Italy , but their utterly shiite disipline cost them.

Remind anyone of another northern team in the WC?..

Probably the worst match of the world cup so far.
    Absolutly shocking.
Whatever team plays scotland will barely have to turn up, they are woeful.
They must have kicked 15 garryowens 15 of which the italian full back caught.
You would think they would have learned but no they just kept doing it.
Shocking, makes me sick to think i backed them

Scotland always push above there weight in the World Cups, but the rugby they play is so unattrative, no wonder they play to half empty stadiums and no one wants to sponsor them -- the wimbledon of old of rugby

Thought it was a good game, not on the same skill level as the Fiji v Wales matchup, but an exciting finish nonetheless.

I guess not betting (and losing) allows me to have this objective view, unlike IrishMike & Longfield's bile towards Italy & Scotland.

Yeah I'd agree. It was never gonna be the same type of game though. Scotland were always gonna get most of their points via Paterson and Italy via Bortolussi. I was surprised at how well Italy played in parts of the first half even when they lost Bergamasco. I thought they'd win at that stage.

But going on performances throughout the tournament, Scotland were the better team and probably deserve to go through.
