    My folks are at long last se[pertaing thanks be to God.

    We are trying to work it all out within the family but as expected there are a few sticking points.

    Can anyone advise are individuals inheritances exempt from bbeing shared equally, or should nay inheritance due by one or other spouse be assessd and split 50:50?

    One side hsa been advised the inheritance is exempt and of course the other side is being told to chase half of it!!!

    Any clarification or links greatly appreciated.

    Solicitors can.
