USB problem

    Man im having a bad computer weekend! Third new thread looking for help, all on completely diffrent topics! Any ways. My pc started to act up on me today, any time i plug a prephiralto the usb (well my mouse is working but other than that) i get the blue screen of death. It first happened after i installed a driver for my sisters camera , but my printer is now making it crash, my external hard drive is maing crash... great fun!! Any suggestions?

    I think a system restore is in order to stop the BSODing anyway. After that, you can try and pin point what dodgy driver is causing it. Are all the drivers installed signed by Microsoft or did you get a warning about unsigned drivers?

    Cheers for the reply. I dont think i got the message. It has to be that camera driver its the only new thing i installed last week end. I removed it in add/remove software last week, but it was back on the list today, but it wasnt actually there(today, it didnt un-install just removed it from the list because it was unistalled last week.)

    btw: Im running Winxp sp2 on a custom machine, nvidia mobo

    Here's my error message:

    0x000000FC (ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NOEXECUTE_MEMORY)

    according to microsoft support

    "You receive a Stop error when a driver is not compatible with the Data Execution Prevention (DEP) feature in Windows XP Service Pack 2"

    I cant find the driver on the device manager and the work around is not working , i get this error in cmd:
    "ERROR: Invalid Syntax. Default op
    Type "BOOTCFG /RAW /?" for usage."

    Any help REALLY appreciated!
