Hi all, I took a screenshot to display exactly what is happening with my Firefox (look at the bottom of the screen). I've tried un-installing and re-installing, but to no avail. Anyone got any ideas?

Uninstall, delete your profile folder and any other folders relating to FF and then restart and reinstall.

Try in Safe mode and if problem is fixed try updating any and all addons which you have installed.

Otherwise disable 1 addon at a time and find the bad one. Disable it and go to that developers site to see if the problem is known and soon to be fixed.

If none of that works then try the earlier suggestion of deleting everything.

Eek, so I uninstalled and reinstalled (having deleted my profile folder) but now when I go to open it, I get the following message: "Firefox is already running, but not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system." Aaaaarrrgghhhh!

Am I doomed to use IE forever more? (though, it DOES seem to be running faster than Firefox was......)

Ctrl+Atl+Del to bring up the task manager. Go to processes and end the firefox.exe process.

It has been acting kinda weird lately. Every time I open it, it asks me do I want to restore old session or open up new session. Also, streaming radio hasn't been working. And it's been a little slow in general.

    Any solution?

OK so I've managed to reinstall Firefox and get it to work, but the original display problem remains. I don't get it.

I too have the same problem. When browsing, Firefox runs normally for a while, then after a few website changes it locks up and if I clear the screen I get this message. Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system.
While it shows in the task manager it will not respond to any action, including closing from there. It take a few attempts to close don the computer and when it is re-booted all is normal until it locks up again.
Dear, dear, what can the matter be?
