Is it bad to "fast charge" your batterys?

I'm not sure whether to get a charger that charges slow or one of those fast ones. Can somebody please recommend batterys and a charger aswell? Cheers.

Short answer - yes. Slow/normal charge will prolong the life of the batteries.
