Funny how all the smaller regional carriers are "worst". I've heard some horror stories about Comair!

Alaska airlines has a somewhat tinted reputation for delays and customer care, suprised their not towards the top of the list

I think the reason that the regionals are "worse" or "worst" is because they are the one's who have turboprops in their fleets. Nothing wrong with that, except that when weather hits, they're the ones to be grounded first, and thus the cancellations. Also, try stuffing baggage into a smaller hold, compared to the easier method of using ULD pallets. Much more scope for damage. Also, for each full 747, it would take 7 or 8 (or more) turboprops to match the passanger load, so the mainline and internationals carry more passangers per cycle. Have a weather snarl up in Atlanta, and say Delta might have 50 flights delayed, whereas, Delta Express could have 300.

Not really comparing like with like.
