    Instead of walking or trying to park in the train station are there any local buses serving this area to the town - any info appreciated

    Yes there is a local bus service.

    I'm guessing you've only just moved into the area, so welcome in. The bus service is pretty good and regular enough that you won't have to wait around for a while. If you are in Castlemill (while the but stop's anywhere along the route) a lot of people tend to stop it just across from the step's at the back of the butchers.
