I am not a huge rugby fan but I watch most Ireland games and big European games.I think its a great sport but I never got the opportunity to play.

Reading the sports pages and listing to the radio over the last week or so I was amazed that the magners league has started back up while the world cup is on the Guinness premiership also seems to be in full flight in England. This is crazy IMO,its like the soccer premiership starting up while the World cup is on.This just would not happen and I believe FIFA have rules to this effect.

So can anybody enlighten me to how Rugby got into this situation,me looking at it from the outside it seems crazy but maybe there is an explanation.

Clubs need money. If the the premierships dont start around here then they start to run into the summer which would mainly be players holidays and tours which no coach wants.

Funny enough for some clubs its actually a great time when all the stars away as they can start to fill their places with younger guys and build them up. Look at the amount of youth thats running through the veins of the Guinness at the moment offers so many choices to Ashton in the near future.
Sadly since we only use 2 pro provinces and ignore the other two i think that its alot harder to find future players as we dont have many "breeding grounds" to test them

I supose it does have some pros as you said brning new talant through but it must have some serioes cons as well.Which team in England would lost the most amount of players for this world cup and how are they dealing with it...?

depends on the coach, They'll have to be mentally right.

I'd say Leinster players will miss the next game (next friday) and be back for

Friday 26th October: Ulster v Leinster (Ravenhill, 7.30pm)

    (Re-Read my post ;))

The Leinster boys will skip next Fridays game, and return against Ulster in Ravenhill (3 weeks time)

Although Dricco said he wants to get back training asap :)
