Do you know the control panel that is semi transparent on the bottom right of the screen? Its a toshiba control of some kind, access to bluetooth etc and it appears if you turn on the machine.
Its set to appear when you first get the machine.

I turned this off and now cant find it anywhere on the computer, just want to turn it on again.

Anyone have a bleedin' clue what I'm on about?

Whats the model number? I think all the Tecra's use the same software but you can check the Toshiba site by selecting the model and then it will list the software that comes with it. I think the easiest thing to do would be reinstalling it. You should be able to identify the software from the list of downloads. I think its called quick access .

Any of these ring a bell:

    TOSHIBA Assist
    TOSHIBA ConfigFree
    TOSHIBA Controls
TOSHIBA CD/DVD player noise reduction utility
    TOSHIBA DVD-RAM Tool
    TOSHIBA Hotkey Utility
    TOSHIBA Modem On-Hold V.92
    TOSHIBA PC Diagnostic Tool
    TOSHIBA Power Saver
    TOSHIBA SUMMIT
    TOSHIBA SD-Card Utility
    TOSHIBA Touch-and-launch
    TOSHIBA TouchPad ON/Off Utility
    TOSHIBA Utilities
    TOSHIBA Virtual Sound
    TOSHIBA Zooming Utility

Thanks, but alas, I've searched every toshiba file I could.

Its not important though, I'll search "quick launch" now.

    Edit: Nothing.

That sounds like ConfigFree. Do a search for it and you should locate it.
