    Hi Folks,
I've settle on buying a set of Callaway Big Birtha irons.
This is, do I go for steel or graphite?
I know there's more flex in the graphite with puts people off, but does it really make that much difference?
I wouldn't say no to the extra yardage, but not if I have to adjust my swing to compensate!

    Steve.

Unless your name is Tiger Woods it will make a minescule difference.

    Its all in the mind.

I'm not Tiger Woods and I'd notice a huge difference.

Graphite is way lighter and there's pretty much no feel from them.

The yardage differences will be negligable....

I went to a golf store today and tried out both. The graphite shafted clubs felt better to play with, and I was better signifcantly better results on the computerised yoke that they use to examine your game.
So, going to order me some graphite shafted Callaway Big Berthas! :)

Graphite shafts hit the ball further which would allow you to hit the ball easier and that of course will make you more consistant.
Also a 3 iron with a graphite shaft is so much easier to hit than one with a steel shaft.
