I'm still new here so I'll give my opinion, for what it's worth.
    1. Doesn't really do anything for me - there is no 'interest'. There is just the glare of the sun going down over the horizon.
    2. I like this one. The colours are warmer and the silhouette of the boat adds something
    3. The colours are nice in this one as well. I think the car is a little distracting. It might have looked better (in my opinion) with the full span of the bridge in silhouette, with the sky above and below it, but I don't know if this would have been possible, or perhaps more sky and less water.
4 and 5. They don't really do any thing for me...4 has the telephone wires going through the sky and too much flat sky. 5 might have been better with more 'sunset' colours in it, as the foreground is good.

Thanks for sharing...feel free to rip the s**t out of my posts

Thanks Culann. Loads to think of there. I agree that no. 1 doesnt have much interest now that I look at it. I was very happy with the framing of no. 2 though

I dont think it would be worth taking the telephone lines out of pic no. 4 as it would still be a little flat. Or is there any post-processing that can be done to liven it up?

My favourite is the last one as the clouds came out nicely.

the last is probably the best of the bunch for me.. although I would remove that bit of flare at the bottom of the photo

I like number two...although maybe the flare from the sun is a little too strong.
Its certainly too strong in the 1st.
The third one has potential i think, again the sun is slightly too strong in terms of flare for me, and the car takes away from it overall, but i like the angle and the silhouetted person on the bridge

Number four is a nice shot, again there's a little bit of flare at the bottom but that's easily fixable.

Thanks everyone, I must check the lens to see if there is a smudge on it as the last 2 pics were taken on the same day so there might be something on it!

No.2 is definitely the best i think, but as EireBear suggested, the flare is a little strong...

I usually love taking pics in this type of light. Some of my best I think. There is so much you can do with shadows etc. Just experimenting can produce some great results.
