    Any fans on boards?

I discovered them earlier in the year (though not in time to see them in vicar street on my birthday  ), but I've picked up their four albums, though none of their eps yet, and have tickets for tuesday week in vicar street.

Edit: Great, a typo in the thread title. Decemberists!

I've liked them for a while. thought they were excellent at the last gig but it's too soon for me to see them again. They have a song from the crane wife in a new toyota ad.

Yep I'll be there-can't wait! Saw them last time they played, and hoping to bring a few people with me this time to create a few converts.

It's been cancelled! This is highly infuriating, as I'd been really looking forward to it. No mention of rescheduling, and that's unlikely for a long while cos they have an upcoming US tour. Sigh.

Giving refunds would tend to suggest no rescheduling

Saw them last night in Wolverhampton and the singer was horribly sick for the whole thing. He looked in pain the whole time and was singing off key, he also had to leave the stage a few times to get sick. Felt really sorry for him.

Guess he was sicker than I thought.

Yeah, got into them about a year ago, when I first heard July, July! and then I was pretty much hooked tbh.
Haven't properly listened to Picaresque, but we were playing it in our uni's radio station - not on the air, just for our own aural pleasure while we just hung out around the place... students eh?! - and it seemed pretty good.

I was supposed to be seeing them tonight :( Hopefully they'll come back again soon.
    Great band.
