ok here's what I'm trying to do at the minute

I was looking at printing off a large poster from pixmania, 50cm by 75 cm with a frame. The idea being that I can make a collage/montage of each month of her life so far (she just turned 1), resolution wise it's not a problem 12*8mp shots will give me more than enough DPI at that size.
So the "poster" will contain 12 photo, one for each month and a center piece as well, I'm just having a hard time in deciding on how I should "present" each photo, I'll put the month under them (easy) but should I just fade to black on them or put some frame around each photo ?
And what to do with the background ? black ? clouds ? remember the photo has to be 6,000px so any clouds etc. would have to be rendered, so a standard background (8mp) super sized to 6,000px would not look great.
    Any ideas ?
