Jetix on Chorus Digital Gone ? Small matter of Life and Death, well nearly.

    Since yesterday, Jetix is showing as "channel not available". Not so bad for me, but my 3 year old son is not so understanding.:eek:

    He's absolutely besotted with Power Rangers and now faces a blackout.

    Does anyone know if this channel is gone for good and is Power Rangers shown on any other station...?

    It's gone here in Limerick too (can't laugh at crappy old X-Men any more :( ). I dunno what's going on. If the channel was finishing up properly I'd assume they'd put up a "This channel has ceased broadcasting" notice like they have on ABC1. So I assume it's just a problem on Chorus' side, or possibly they're not going to carry it any more...

    Its gone on chorus digital cable here in cork too. How do they plan to compete with sky if they keeping loosing carriage of channels? ABC has shut down(not UPC's fault but still one less channel), Men&Motors has been displaying "This channel is unavailable" for months (if its unavailable, remove it from the EPG until it is available!) and now jetix!
    Its simple, if the carriage deal is nearing its end at least try to resolve the new carriage deal before the channel has to become "unavailable" to customers!

    Sorry to dampen your talk of it being a fault and that it may come back but it's not a fault even if it comes back it won't be for long because NTL will be dropping it from their line up next month sometime.

    NTL have to be adding a few new channels they've been dropping too many for them not to add more.There's been 2 closures within weeks of each other and UKTV Bright Ideas is another that's due to close in the middle of this month too so that'll make 3,no way can NTL expect customers to not notice how many have gone.

    Before they would remove a channel from the EPG. I really hate their new approach, leave the channel, just update the programme info with "channel not available". Perhaps as the channel is still in the EPG, it's still counted in their overall channel count.
