I'd forgotten Yahoo used to be in a nasty grey colour unless you manually changed some settings in Internet Exploder.

It was amazing, a wonder to behold. I searched for (among other things) porn :D

    Didn't we all? ;)

Remember browsing using a 9600 modem.
Then upgraded to a 14.4 - WOW that thing was fast. Even so there was a lot of time spent drinking coffee, reading newpapers, drumming fingers waiting for stuff to download.....

    Kids today with their broadband...huh!

Suck.com was my first "regularly visited" site http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suck.com and is also the first thing that pops into my mind when people talk about the net of 95-99ish (pre-Napster).

Kinda glad it isn't around today as it acts like a time capsule for those "frontier days" of the internet ie when people still coded html and everyone had a "homepage" and psychadelic wallpaper was all the rage. :)
