    Hi Guys,

User here printing to a network printer and everytime she has to print she has to press the start button on the printer.

Printers are not my area....gimmie a router anyday!

I can get onto the printer's jetdirect remotley so I can change setting there if needed.

    Any ideas?

I've seen this kind of problem on a few other models of HP printer where the user's printer driver is set to use letter or some other non-A4 page size. The printer receives the request to print a document on a paper size it hasn't got and needs someone to press ok/go to continue printing on A4. Normally just changing the paper size on the user's print driver control panel should sort it. Check that the correct paper size is set on whatever machine hosts the print queue for this network printer also.

    Cheers Stephen.

Tray 1 was set to Letter on the print server.
    Amended that and no joy.

Had a look at the settings her side.....turned out to be the paper source options. Hers were set to Tray 1 only.

I set it to auto and shes working away now fine.

    Cheers again.
