    Hey guys,

    Need a bit of help here, I have sent my cv to a company, who obviously uses office 2003, and my cv was created in word 2007. Now i cant link them to this and tell them to install it. As thats just cheeky:

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/word/HA100444731033.aspx?pid=CH100626291033

    And the other problem is i do not have office 2007 at home, or 2003. So i cant do it myself, does anyone have any idea how i can do this without messing up the formating?

    Cheers.

    Send it to your Gmail account, open it in Google documents and save it as .doc ;) Or just save it as .doc in Word

    Hey having same issue as just got office 2007 today. Just open your CV in your word 2007 and go to save as and click on the little arrow to the right of it. This will allow you save as document compatible with office 1997-2003.

    Sorted

    You could try converting your CV to PDF (there are a few programs online to do so), if you can't figure it out. Most companies I've dealt with prefer PDF files.

    In Word 2007 --> File --> Save as --> Select (Word 97 - 2003 Document) .doc

    Simple.

    That company could be using word 97 or openoffice or just about anything that can open the most commonly used document format over the last 10 years.

    Goto openoffice.org and get openoffice. Problem solved. Unless you bought Office 2007, that is, and it'd not just some 30 day trial...
