Rules question

    I love the charter!

"Now, put on your Dubarry shoes, unfold you collar and get a cold Heino out of the fridge, it’s time to talk some rugby."

    Fair play....

I have a question. What determines what team throws the ball in for a line out? I see a team kick a ball in to touch and they get to throw in, other times the other team throws in. (I could be wrong)

I see in the charter stupidity is frowned apon, sorry about the silly question.

The lineout rules are dependant on the situation in which the ball is put out. Simply put:

In general open play, when the ball is put out of play (kicked, carried, throw unintentionally over the sideline) the team in posession concedes the lineout to the opponent.
If Team A is awarded a full penalty and kicks the ball directly out of play, then Team A is awarded the lineout

You're doing okay if that's the only law that's confusing for you ;)

Yeah I started watching rugby when I was about 8 and didn't figure out the offside rule till I was about 16. Took me longer to figure out those ruck rules.

We didn't really play rugby done Mayo way
