Thank You ! - Short listed

Well after the fox trying to steal my lens (flickr), some people recommended getting a few magazines and entering some of my fox photo's in the readers pictures sections. So I did and uploaded a few of them to the site, here's the link to my gallery .

The one I been short listed for was the "hmm, that leg of yours is looking good", which to me seemed a bit odd, but then I realised it had a nice open patch of grass on the bottom left which would probably suit where they put your blurb. Interesting that it was one of lowest "viewed" out of the gallery.

For me being short listed is like winning a prize, if you know what I mean, I'm happy if it doesn't get published, getting short listed is enough for me

So this is just a thank you for all the encouragement over the last few months and for recommending entering the readers photo's competitions!

To be short listed generally means they've cut the field down to a group of contenders to get into the magazine i.e. they may have cut it down to 30 photo's/contenders, BTW I have no idea how many are on the short list.

On their site they only allow 2.5mb of gallery space, which means all of the photos were 800x600, yesterday I was requested to send them the photo at the highest res. possible and write a "piece/blurb" on the photo, like where it was taken, etc.

So they'd be getting a 3.5mb file per person on the short list, so I doubt if its in the 100's. Then again I really don't know.

Thanks all for that, I'm just happy to be short listed, that said it would be great to get something published.

I can just imagine myself as the guy in "good will hunting" slamming the magazine into some peoples faces and saying "how's them for apples"
