I dont think James McAvoy & Anne Marie Duff are going to be back soon as their careers are better now. & their married AFAIK.

I actually think, due to the excellence of the writing, it's managed to weather very well the departure of such key characters.
I think the Maguires are brilliant!
It has replaced The Simpsons as my favourite television programme - absolutely superb.

There's actually 4 series altogether, with the next series in Jan AFAIK.

RTE is well behind Channel 4, on which the fifth series will be starting in January I think.

I like the Maguires, the story has veered towards them moreso the Gallaghers at the end of the last series.

Was down the North today and in HMV, they had a DVD of Shameless S4 on the shelf with an "Available for pre-order: Coming October 20th" sticker on it...I had no idea Ch4 were doing a 4th, thought they'd run ou of steam. Are the above posters sure about a Jan 08 date? I know other seasons started in Jan too, so probably it's HMV who are wrong...
As much as I love the show, I really hope they don't run it into the ground just for the sake of viewer figures....although in fairness they've managed to do very well with the departure of main characters (and good actors).
