Maybe put it on Ebay and get a few quid for it. Thanks anyway !

Hey Adam, any pictures of your Porsche 911? You know, the one you were telling all the lads on Triumph Torque about.

"yes my dear friend lots of elbow grease it takes a lot of hard work to keep a classic on the road thats why i drive mine every single day i have a year 2000 Porsche 911 Gemballa but always prefer my stag.

Maybe a nice shot of it parked beside the Stag, You know, for comparison like.

Oh just curious. It would be great to see the two cars together to compare the old and the new. See how The old but handsome Stag measures up against the brutal, Gemballa tuned 911.

to be honest Adam, I think you are bringing it onto yourself here. ;) I think everybody saw you coming from a mile... It goes quiet for a while, and then suddenly there is a barrage of posts, where you rant and rave how exited you are about your car, trying to divert almost each and every post onto the topic of Triumph Stags.... but in the meantime it's all a big plug in order to sell your car! I mean, come on, if you were so mad about the car, why sell it in the first place. You did it with your other Stag, you did it with the BMW, so it's not you first time around. I'd say, at least be honest about it! Your stag has been on e-bay where it didn't make the reserve, and is now on carzone, and really, I think it is all a bit OTT to say the least.

Personally I don't mind the odd plug if you want to sell your car, because to be honest, deep down I'm ofcourse also posting comments here not only to (I hope) provide genuine usefull information and opinions, but also to get extra exposure for my business, and I would say a lot of the people here would do the same, wether it's for their business, their website or otherwise, and I don;t think there is anything wrong with it, as long as it's all done in good taste and with restraint. Personally, I think your approach is not doing you any favours, especially if you start to make stuff up as you go along !!! :D

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being very enthousiastic about the classic car you own, but there is a fine line between raving about your car, and ramming it down everyone's throat... :D,

Adam didn't ever advertise his cars here, as far as I remember, or blatently give an Ebay or Carzone URL for the advert.

With that in mind, I think he's just enthusiastic. Getting through a right amount of cars, but who's to say that's wrong - I'm the opposite (tend to keep my cars in the family) so I am bemused by all this chopping and changing, but... it's a free world.

No-one else has come on here giving away free parts. If anyone has a differential for a Stag that they want to give away, I'll be their best friend. I think it's great for this forum (community ?) for such things to be shared out.

And the DIY work with the dash etc - that's interesting, may not be useful or tasteful for everyone, but it's useful.

I think in this case the forum/community is just having a collective chuckle - no harm done IMO. :)

I'm all for allowing classics to be plugged here. More pics for us all to critique!

Well Adam, I suppose I'm "one of you lot" so that means you think I need a hobby. Actually this is only of my hobbies . Check out my posts on Powerboat.ie under the same user name for my first love. I also have three kids under four years old so that also keeps me busy. You were caught out......again..... so fess up. Either your delusional, or your making a very poor attempt at promoting the cars you are selling.
What I mean by delusional is, in case you forget, Your field full of classics, e-type Jags and the like, from last year, and now your Gemballa tuned Porsche 911, of which I'd still like to see pictures.
Your behaviour on e-bay under your various guises has been nothing short of fascinating for the last year. The comments have been highly entertaining but why keep ending the auction early only to put the car back up soon after?
Your attempts to sell your Audi (or was it the 2002) actually got you a lifetime ban (under your user name at the time "Adamj22" ) from boards.ie, but here you are, a week after you re-appear, up to your old tricks again. For the record, I really couldn't care less what anyone gets up to on-line as it really doesn't affect me, in fact I think Boards would be less interesting without you, however I felt I'd like to reply to your "get a hobby" comment.
Franksm vouches for you and I have a lot of time for him, so maybe I should go easy, but before I go, did you ever hear of punctuation? or capital letters?

Good luck, sincerely, with the sale of your Car, and in the purchase of a Mustang, I car I would also like to own, Obviously we have similar tastes.

P.S. theres a Stag exhaust (which is not as complete as the one you so generously offered for free) on e-bay at the moment. Maybe yours could earn you a few bob? heres the link.

Forgive me and permit me one last dig... Ahh here they are.

Adam, Well done, you've become one of the charactars of the classics cars forum, which almost deserves a thread of it's own.

I have to say, that was not my intention, and in fairness I did provoke him by really winding him up. The threat doesn't bother me in the least and I do feel the place will be less interesting without him.
I suppose what I was trying to do, was to let him know that I/we are not idiots and saw him coming a mile away.
Outing him over the Porsche thing was a bit cheeky (cruel?) on my part, as it was clipped from another forum, but I couldn't resist in light of the previous fantasy with the inherited field full of cars.
I hope I didn't come across as a stalker but this just caught my attention as the same stuff goes on over on Triumph Torque. I also doubt I was the only one following the progress with interest.
Adam, No hard feelings, but I understand if you don't feel the same.

It had nothing to do with you Hifive - Adam was banned because he broke the rules and presumably was aware of this while typing his post!

Pity he wasn't aware of a few other things like grammar, subtlety, or the art of the English language...

Not to mention the fact that bullying a member of a small community of like minded enthusiasts from behind a keyboard is never a good idea.

    No you don't ;)

Not different from before - bullsh!tting, boasting, shilling, muppetry - a lot of it is tolerated over here to some extent to suit the community :D

Personal abuse will lead to a warning or a (temporary) ban. Threats will lead to a permanent site ban

Well I dunno. I'm shocked by his outburst - in fact, I feel like a gaunch for sticking up for him - up until that outburst it was just plain fun to watch - my BSometer can register a lot before it goes into the red zone.

I like watching trainwrecks, especially in slow motion.

I have taken the liberty of informing our friends on the Triumph Torque forums about this idiot. (The Stag forum is where he spent most of his time).

Their consensus seems pretty much the same as our own.
