    Hey all.

Havent bought a console sonce the N64 but i'm seriously considering buying a Wii.

I love all the Zelda games and the new paper mario game looks right up my street as i loved all the old mario games for the SNES.

everyone who i have spoken too who has bought a wii loves it and even browsing adverts i can see loads of 360's and ps3's but there's not many wii up there.

the only thing i'm worried about is the possible lack of decent titles in the future. should this be a concern?

any other bad points about it at all?

    many thanks

    kev

I dont think the lack of games atm should put you off buying a wii, there are great titles coming to the wii around christmas and early 08.

Off the top of my head there is Mario Kart, Wii Fit , Wii Music, Mario and Sonic at the Olympics, and theres loads more aswell.

Also the Wii isnt all about the games.(internet browsing, News, weather and more channels to come!

O and dont forget the games on the Virtual Console.

it also plays all gamecube games
    way cheaper than an xbox/ps3
easily modded, uses single layer dvds and any decent burner will do
    built in wifi

If you like Zelda and Mario, you have to buy one. I really loved Zelda:Twilight Princess and I'm having a great laugh with Super Paer Mario ATM.

As for games on the way, Mario Kart, MP3, Super Mario Galaxy to name a few.

And you can pick up some incredible GameCube games for less than a tenner!

Funnily enough, I was running around Limerick looking for a copy of Halo 3 and within a half-hour I saw 5 Wiis being bought in 3 stores.

    Buy, buy, buy :D

The reason you dont see wii's on adverts is because they are hard to get and nobody want to sell them!! Just have a look at the swap section and the wanted section to see how many people want wii's.
Also, the reason you see loads of ps3's in adverts is because people are disappointed with them.

I agree with scooochie4, anyone with a Wii doesnt want to part with it. It was the same with the cube, 2nd hand games were hard to come by cos either noboby wanted to part with them and the machine wasnt quite as popular as the ps2.
The selection of games coming out for the Wii is greatly improving though and you have the virtual console for all the older classics.

Nothing is more fun than introducing a bunch of drunken people to a Wii, Wii sports and bomberman from the VC.

mariokart is one of the best games to stick on after the pub, especially to newbies who never played nintendo stuff.
