The death has taken place of Dublin GAA legend Mick Holden. He was 52.
Holden was a member of the victorious Dublin side that won the All-Ireland Football Championship in 1983.
    He died suddenly this morning.

Holden played inter-county football and hurling for Dublin and was a member of the Cuala club in Dublin.

Shocking news. I just saw this on the RTE website. My father knew him and his father quite well. It will be a big funeral.

Apparently he went to work this morning and had a massive heart attack at around 11am.

Mick was a true character. Though he was better know for football, hurling was his favourite game. His humour will be missed by all, a nice guy.
