    Hi there,

Looking for a way to get a car from Cambridgeshire to Limerick. It runs and can drive a short distance but hasn't been properly run for 14 years so not ideal to drive! John Flynn is out of action at the mo. Any ideas! Help me please!!:(

By the time you add up the flight over, travel from the airport to the car, the ferry, petrol and dependant on how the times work out possibly a nights accomodation, you won't save much if anything on €500.

It depends on what you prefer, stay at home and wait for the car to arrive or the experiance of traveling

For me its not the money that swings it, but the fact that if you go yourself at least you get to see the car before you handover the cash, its a bit late once it arrives in Ireland on the back of a truck!

Look up this months Irish Vintage Scene and you will see an advert for Classic Car transport, with the operator based in Limerick city on the Ennis Road.
    Best of luck.

Richard McCaffrey is based in Limerick and I am going to use him next week if he is available to bring a car to Limerick also.
    Give him a ring 086-0527656

500 euro is a bargain , just cost me £246 sterling each way on the ferry in my own lorry to pick up a Range Rover from bedfordshire plus fuel

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll give those guys a ring today and let you know how I get on. Coxy-VW - If he can bring more than one car at a time I'd be keen to get him to bring mine over at the same time as yours? I'll give him a ring anyway.
    CHeers!!

Ha ha ha. I rang him today and he is full (the transporter) next week but can do it the following week. I emailed him details. Is he usually pretty prompt at replying?

Think I need to talk to him too - I need a car (Merc SEC) picked up from Surrey in London and brought to Galway
