For those that have followed their legal fight against the big chain casinos.....they won in court today!!

If you dont know what Im on about its gonna be the largest 'poker-only' room in Europe and there's been war over it.

Well done Rob and the lads.

Can feel a trip over to Nottingham coming up ..........

I'm on for it. When is the grand opening?? probably be added value around then and some serious action.

Would you guys prefer to hire a van and drive/travel by ferry or fly over??

BCB I expect you to arrange sponsorship for the trip!! We'll write up a degeneracy report for PPP if needed to justify it!! :p

Muted talk of an official Nov opening (half of which Im in US...boooo)

Either travel arrangements are fine as Notts is fairly accesible from East Midlands airport. iirc

Flying is easier as everyone can get a flight that suits them and we can just book some rooms in a hotel (they'll probably have a special rate somewhere for the opening) on the other hand a road trip would be a lot more fun.....even getting the ferry and then a train would be better craic as well as allowing us to gamble all the way....

Lets wait and see what tournie they are running for the grand opening and get an idea of numbers and views on the travel arrangements then (and also if the dates actually suit people as I'm booked up for two weekends in November myself at this point in time:rolleyes: ).

I'd nearly fly home for this with the the dead money on board.

Great news though. Had been following the case a bit online.

Absolutely DELIGHTED for Rob and his team!!! Spent all afternoon online just waiting to hear the verdict. I have friends over there working for him. He's paid wages to all of them for months when he wasn't even sure he'd have an opening. Fair play to him!

Here's Rob's reply re: all the congrats earlier today -

any idea what kind of range of stakes they are planning on spreading?

also i'll be curious to see how long they last,i was under the impression that poker rooms were the least profitable parts of casinos, and surely there cant be that large a player pool in nottingham?

He's involved as well, but Rob has been the main 'voice' behind it from day one.
