I know it's a long shot, but has anyone perchance come across a nice proof of the PNT? Assuming it has been proven...
The only one I've found seems to assume Riemann's Hypothesis, which doesn't really help me, seeing as the paper I'm writing is trying to explain the RH in simple language... and that sort of self-reliant proof isn't going to hold water...

Most (all) proofs don't use the Riemann Hypothesis. There is a fourier transform proof, a elementary proof (elementary in the technical sense), a complex analytic proof, e.t.c.

Even a computer proved it here.

There is a simple proof here.
