What's the story with the new iradio station for the region. It was supposed to be up and running by now. They were supposed to be in claregalway and then that was changed and now they were supposed to be in the eye cinema building. Word is that the head of news they had has left and they are frantically trying to replace her. Panic is setting in I'd say. Head of sport has never been to a match. They seem to have interviewed loads, taken their ideas and then hired some of them. Mate of mine has got job there but was not too impressed when she heard who her new boss is going to be.

They're currently finishing off building works underneath the eye cinema. Should be finished by mid-late october. It's supposed to be up and running november 16th or something...

Who owns / runs the station does anyone know?

its owned by former Galway Observer salesman and newstalk guru dan healy and a few others. it's opening in november but the current talk is that it mightn't be as good as we thought it might be. there won't be any sleep lost over it.
