Since everyone seems to be shamelessly plugging their societies on random threads, wouldn't it be easier to have a thread informing us on all the events their societies are planning for Freshers' week?

The Radio are playing? Sweet, I used to know Steve Murray(he taught this rock band class thing I was in 2 years ago).

Radio City is a really nice place too. Was there for a Neutronyx party a while back. And €3.50 pints? I might just attend this.....

You got an events book? I got a booklet with info on all of the societies and a magazine on the Hist. There were two or three other leaflets in there as well regarding the du players, the food and drink society and the t*arts festival but there was no events book. I'm outraged:mad: ! Well, no I'm not but I don't get enough opportunities to use the angry face.

can i bring non-tcd friends to events?

If you are interested in learning how to shoot DU Rifle Club will be recruiting all week.

There will also be a free social reception where in the week after Freshers week. We will give you a presentation that goes over the sport and the rules involved, the guns are locked away and the drink comes out!

Well worth it - plus loads of boardsies are members so if you missed them at the beers, you can meet them here!

Front Square. You'll see lots of stuff there. Register when you've to register, but otherwise you don't have to do anything that week. From there get talking to people on the stands, collect your freebies and enjoy it.

What was the outcome of the InTransit debacle?

I heard that Pubs had cancelled it, something happened about it and it ended up in with the Senior Lecturer..

Is it going to be out next year? I thought it was good...

Lol, you might want to write that as "..an iris nua, 'Tuathal'....". I read that as "Anticlockwise launch in the Ellis Rooms" until I read the translation.

It was second hand info - but apparently the decision to be shut down was appealed. Just wondering did anyone know what the outcome was?
