Heading to the following cities in November along with 10 others on a euro trip.....Budapest,Bratislava,vienna,prague,berlin and amsterdam. Would like to know of decent hostels in each city that are located centrally to all the nightlife etc and have some sort of security lockers.

    Thanks in advance guys/girls.

We went interrailing this year, went to all those places except amsterdam. We used hostelworld.com to find all our hostels, it was pretty good and guests rate them all so you can get a good idea of what its like.

Budapest-we stayed at the Island Hostel, it was packed when we were there, bit of a dump but has lockers with locks and located on the island in the centre fo city. Friendly staff too. 17euro a nite or so.

Bratislava-we stayed at Patio hostel, cost about 14euro a night i think-nice and modern beds and layout. We ended up being moved to Orange Hostel the next night (stupid overbooking) and that place is a complete dump. Do not stay there. Everywhere in Bratislava is within easy walking distance.

We didn't stay in Vienna, just visited from Bratislava. In Prague we stayed at the boathouse, which was a bit out of the city-20mins by tram (24hours) but it was probably our best hostel. They really look after their guests, make dinner each night and all the guests (when we were there anyway) went out together at night, very secure, right by the river.

Berlin- we stayed in the All-In Hostel, very cheap 8euro or so. It's about 5mins to the centre on the ubahn or sbahn(cant remember which) and has lockers. The area around the hostel has loads of restaurants and bars which aare ultra cheap-less than 5euro for all main courses!

Hope this helps a bit, we had a great time, didn't have any bad experiences or anything-have a fantastic trip!

We stayed there too this summer, only for a night. It's great, it's in a really nice neighbourhood! I'd defo recommend it!
