Just got my shiney, massive Morphy Richards DRM here; obviously RTE1 LW is in AM mode right now - whats the DRM schedule like at the moment?

You have probably seen Zaphod's reply on another thread.........

    http://www.rte.ie/radio/worldwide.html

.........and it seems it is the only information available. Previous threads said they happened during the night.

Some cheek RTE have saying that 252LW can be received in the most of Britain. Yes! It used to be! I'm in London 10 years now and even the MW band has become is a struggle to receive. Radio 1 on 567khz used to be loud and clear but now is gone.

My eyes are on the Himalaya 2009 DRM radio. It appears the first series had production errors and I must await the second series. Mid October at the earliest. Well.........that is what I have been told............

I've lived in London for 22 years now and 567 was always a struggle since I've been here. Then again when I came here in '85 it was Laser 558 that crashed into Radio 1. But now of course Spectrum Radio on 558 crashes into Radio 1, and the Tullamore TX power also appears to be greatly reduced.

I do have a DRM box for my laptop but I've needed a rather powerful LW loop antenna purchased on eBay to get a reasonable signal on both standard AM and the occasional DRM transmissions.

Nowadays I mostly use an Internet Radio to listen to not only Radio 1 but also most Irish national and local stations in stereo without any interference! :D

Middle of the Night-ish / early hours mostly. occassional 24 hr and 48hr blocks.
    Variable numbers of channels.

I got the Himalaya 2009 today, a bit earlier than expected. I do not expect to get RTE on DRM until 10pm. Funny thing is that I can get RTE Radio 1 on 252khz quite well.

At the moment I am receiving Premier, Deutsche Welle, RTL and RTL Radio. All operate on shortwave. I do loose signal frequently. I suspected this would happen and will have to make use of the external aerial socket. Come to think of it should MW/LW and SW receiving aerials be vertically polarized, ideally!

Bye the way it looks like the Sangean DRM-40 release date has gone back again. Now Jan / Feb 2008. No word on the Sangean website.

Its not been on DRM at any of my test times to date.

I've already modded the radio for an external atenna, but reversable (F conn barrell out through the aerial hole!) but my SW setup here is poor so it gives me no better SW DRM. DAB is now perfect though (as its now attached to a humongous Band III array), FM is fairly decent for the wrong-type aerial too.

RTE did a 48 hour broadcast in early September and it did coinside with a DRM exhibition / conference held in I think, Amsterdam. As it is a test by RTE it could come on at any time. I try e-mailing them and see if I can get any info.

DAB quality here in London really depends on the mux your station is on. I usually listen to Planet Rock. The independent mux is transmitted from a site about 1km north of me. This mux carries 6 stations. Quality is excellent. The BBC's can be different. The nearest txer to me is Crystal Palace. The mux carry quite a lot of stations. Perhaps too many. I think this was well debated in another thread.
