EDIT:Title should read: Two €25 MTT Hands

    #1

Blinds are 50/100. Avg stack is ~8k. Myself and villain are both around average. This is on the first level of the tournament.

Am dealt 77 in LP. Villain called blind from EP and I raise to 450 and it's folded back to the villain who calls.

    Flop comes:
    A7J

Villain checks and I bet 700. Villain thinks and calls.

    Turn is a 8.

Villain checks and so do I (hoping to induce a bluff on the river)

    River is a 3

Villain bets 2k and I push all in. He folds.

My thinking at the time was that I couldn't extract any more value from this hand and that he either had a big ace or two pair, hopefully AJ. He didn't show his hand but he most likely had A9 or A10. I now realise that at this early stage of the tournament he would have had to have had AA, JJ, 88 or AJ to call me. Given the action was this the only play for me to make?

Final table, blinds are 2,000/4,000 and are frozen at this level. Average stack is ~45k. I have ~56k. 6 left, 6 get paid.

I'm dealt Q5o in the BB. Button (has me covered) calls, SB (who I have covered) calls.

    Flop comes:
    6d7c4h

SB checks, I consider pushing but then check, button checks.

    Turn is a Queen.
    SB checks, I push allin.

I felt quite okay about this push, I would either take down the pot right there or be called by any queen in which case I still had my open ended draw.

I would have prefered to have pushed on the flop as the others would have had no option other than credit me with hitting a typical Big blind hand and it would have been too expensive to call me.

    Opinions on that line?
