Work Placement with an airline

I go on a work placement from June to December of next year. I have to have somewhere sorted within the next few weeks though. I was hoping to do the placement at Dublin Airport or one of the major UK airports, on the ground. Would anyone be able to put me in the right direction, I have sent off emails to some of the airlines but have had no joy.

An email is not much use, that's the lazy man's option...

Either put it in writing or phone them directly.

Try Servisiar or Sky Handling Partner at Dublin Airport, they deal with Ground Handling (Check-In and aircraft dispatch). Also try CityJet, I hear they are always looking for staff.

Another idea is to actually head up to the airport yourself, armed with a few copies of your CV. Can do no harm going to the airline offices there.
    Cheers!

Thanks for the reply. I would have thought emailing them a covering letter with my CV attached would suffice, I'll give them companies a ring in the morning that you suggested thanks.

Of course it wouldnt, thats a seirously half assed attempt.

If you're genuine about the role ring up the various companies and check our their websites as they may have something advertised or know about something.
