    FOXNEWS
LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Kiefer Sutherland was arrested early Tuesday on misdemeanor drunk driving charges after failing a field sobriety test, a police spokeswoman said.

Kiefer Sutherland attends a Fox casino party Monday in Los Angeles, California.

The actor was pulled over at around 1:10 a.m. in western Los Angeles, where he tested over the state's legal blood alcohol limit of .08 percent, Officer Karen Smith said.

Sutherland was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence and taken to a Hollywood station, she said.

Smith didn't know if he remained in custody.

I can just see it now........

Jack Bauer: "The suspect is getting away with the nuclear bomb. We've got to get after him."

Chloe: "I'm tracking him on satellite, Jack. He's in a stolen car heading onto the freeway."

Jack: "Okay Chloe, I'm going after him. I'll keep you updated. Ummm..... TAXI!" :D

"Under a deal with prosecutors, the star will serve the sentence during breaks in filming for his hit TV drama, 24."

Pfft, preferential treatment for movie stars, the judge was probably a big 24 fan.
Does "serve the sentence during breaks" mean that his sentence will be split up?
He got 48 days, I don't think a single break in filming will last that long.
It screws up the storylines too as they won't be able to show Jack driving, even though it is only acting I presume the judge would not be impressed.

Of course they can. They have all kinds of ways of making it look like someone is driving when they actually aren't.

yeah but when his driving he's not really they usually have the car on the back of a trailer being driven by someone else, they might get away with that.
